Im just going to fit some new tyres to mine as they are getting rather bald.
The amount of people I have seen walking about with recently bought snow shovels is unreal.
I also saw a brand new looking gritter lorry with a massive snow plough driving (not gritting) about today.
Noticed the councils have been out filling the grit bins up too. The amount of people I have seen walking about with recently bought snow shovels is unreal.

Cant't wait.
lolI only managed to get hold of 2 winter tyres for the FTO last year but they did the job very well. Having said that, they were in transit on THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, so they didn't arrive until about a week after the bad snow. I'm probably going to stick them on at the start of November.
I'm going to pick up a pair for Jen's car as she is doing community nursing for the next couple of months. I know you are better off with 4 but unless you are driving about on country roads in snow then I think 2 do you fine.
Was also thinking about getting the winter prep service to try and keep the car good over the winter http://westenddetails.co.uk/index.php?p=1_3_Valeti...

My wife's Beetle needed 2 new front tyres so I got Kleber Quadraxer all seasons fitted at the front.
She is a nurse and regularly travels early morning or late night, and her place of work is down a hill so if these make the difference between her being able to get up and down to work and not then they will be worth it.

Getting new tow rope though, as current is a bit past its best.
Part from that, nothing as the stuff i had for last year is still good for this.

Is Uncle Paul going out and about? Part from that, nothing as the stuff i had for last year is still good for this.

You should ask him, though i doubt a tow from the bucket will go down well. The bucket didnt venture far last winter, the "i cant be arsed sitting in huge traffic jams" mentality and the fact work is only a few miles of back roads away ment i was fine. Until they got too deep for my liking..

May give him the tow rope as a present,
would likely be the final thing i ever do on this earth!Gassing Station | Scotland | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

Only other winter prep we need to is make sure the digger is running to clear the driveway.
