Car rental in Glasgow over Christmas

I’m having trouble finding any available rental cars in Glasgow for the week ... does anyone have any suggestions for places to try?

I just need something I can drive down to England for two or three days between Christmas and Hogmanay, because my car’s in need of a bit of work before I’ll subject it to a long journey again.
