Funny thing insurance..
Discussion
The buckets insurance is jue this month, and my current provider sent their renewal quote, which has gone up from last year, by £13. Which is nothing really but i wanted it back below the £500 mark so i called them up.
Got put through to their renewal place, in halifax canada. Also by confirming my details again, they said it had gone up further and could call back to confirm, A, why. B, if they could beat it.
Now thanks to people using the bucket to stop, i have a few non fault incidents on my record.
My insurer are a high ranking naval officer, by using various other insurance sites with talking aniamls in smoking jackets and fat singing blokes, i got even more expensive quotes. Even the specialist companies couldnt beat the navy price.
But the nice people with a red phone for a logo, with the same details, are £341. Yes, £160 cheaper than the company ive been with for 4 years..
In the interest of curiousity, ive also got a quote for another LR, a supercharged Vogue Se, worth 3 times the bucket and still only £399.
It justs shows how much you can save by shopping around, and gives me hope for later in the year for upgrading as its not the complete financial misery i thought it would. The car can do that on its own if the bucket is anything to go by.

Some good tips here http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f...
Not yet, not took the quote as I've a few days left on my current policy before it runs out.
I'm pretty pleased with the red phone group as its a large saving and I lose nothing from the navy groups policy.
And if I upgrade to larger 4x4, it's only £60 more.
Oh and bigger off cripple, your getting nothing

Still waiting on navy people calling back to see if they can match/beat red phone's price. I doubt it but you never know.
Oh and tony, the stairs joke is mine, you need to get a new one.

Colin, p
s off.
All cash saved is going to the "i want a larger and equally unreliable 4x4" fund.

In this colour if you please, with LPG conversion and I shall be a happy man.
Think you show a bit more respect to the; older; more distinguished; Italian; gun carrying; psychopathic members of this forum!
Cake and coffee would be a nice safe gesture with all that spare cash you have!
