Headed off to Thirlstane castle in the Westfield but turned back as the rain was so bad that driving became dangerous. The car was aquaplaning even at 30 mph, I couldnt see and to top it off the car was burning water rather than petrol. Now drying off watching BTCC on ITV4

wow, sound bad. The weather is a tad dull at the moment. I have just been over to the skip to dump off some crap from my back garden and the car has started punting out white smoke from the exhaust <.< oh ffs.

Attempting to study for an exam tomorrow. All on ethics, care in the community, and lots of definitions.

Wonderful grumpy

Was down at Tayside Classic Car Rally. Lots of nice cars. It even stopped raining in the afternoon.

Checked the tyre pressures as I haven't checked them since getting the new tyres fitted on the MR2. They're T1Rs and have softer sidewalls than the stock RE050s. New tyres give a smoother ride and no tramlining, but seems to have robbed some of the response and feedback, and the rear of the car feels rather vague when cornering so thinking they might be underinflated... they were actually overflated at 36-40psi eek I've set them to 28 front/34 rear and see how it goes...

T1r's can take 250-300 miles to bed in. I have had 2 full sets on my current car and once beded in were fantastic even in the wet. They were attrocious in the snow though.

I've heard about that, only done 100 miles so far. Drove to work this morning but no chance to hoon so couldn't push the tyres to test the new tyres.

Assuming I don't replace it this year this will be my winter car as well...

Gotta concur on the T1-R's. My rears took till i got to Nottingham before they felt as good as they do now.

This Sunday, i was mostly watching Alien V Predator 1 & 2 and The Krays. And eating like a pig.

Sorted some vinyl wrap for the Mx5 though so that shall be next Sundays adventure biggrin

That went a couple of months ago mate.

Got another, errr, "kitted" Mk2 now i'm putting an Audi 4.2 lump in.

Bought a £600 Mx5 to kick about in for the meantime and having great fun with it. Just need top stop myself spending too much on it and leave it be.
