Cheap bodyshop in Aberdeen?

Old peeps,

As per title, looking for someone to respray the front bumper on the MR2 before I sell it. Its in a bit of a state so want to get it blown over, but don't want to spend cash I won't get back... I reckon its only worth £2-2.5k so over £300 (first quote tbf) wouldn't be wise. Not looking for multiple layers, each rubbed down and a glass-like finish, just a good tidy up.

So, if anyone knows someone who's inexpensive and in the 'deenshire area, I'd be grateful of the details.

Paint technic did work on my car last year. Extremely happy with it.

Hi Jason,

That quote was from Smart Refinishers in Kirkhill/Dyce. Looked like a quality outfit and they said it'd be strip old paint off, plastic primer, two base coats and clear so if I was keeping the car it'd be worth it.

I went to On The Road Again in Peterculter, as advised by GregorFUK (cheers ) and had a quote of £200 for the bumper to be resprayed. However, being the nice chap he is, George (I think that's his name anyway!) told me not to bother! He said it would be obvious if I didn't do the rest of the car and in his experience you never make the money back when it comes to sell on anyway, something I had already considered.

I've garnered opinion from others too and most agree that at 12yrs old they'd be expecting the bodywork to be a little shabby anyway. So, I'll leave as is and advertise the car priced accordingly.

But as far as the bodyshop is concerned, On the Road Again were over £100 cheaper than my first quote. Can't comment on quality of work though, but he seems to be recommended by people on other sites when I googled him.

Do NOT use Paint Technik!!!!!!!!

I won't go into the detail, but rather bullet the issues!

1/ Guy is a cowboy - Stuart.
2/ Work was extremely poor, car was a State when i got it back! See link
3/ They took 2wks longer than they said, meaning i had to rent a car/catch lifts off people
4/ They didn't connect up the washer jets on the bumper.

They have messed up a friend of mines Z4 also, not only that my brother used them recently too...Warned him off them but used for convenience. The job was average, they obviously didn't remove the vent and masking taped around it, then lacquered over it, meaning the tape is clearly visible! They are going to rectify this...Worst of all though, when leaving the bodyshop, the brakes didn't work! (Rear line was loose!!!! - HOW?) On this occasion Stuart did phone and apologies.

I'd steer well clear.
