White tents around Glasgow hotels?

I have noticed large white tents around both the hilton and marriot over the last few days. Anyone know what they are for? It looks like they are for cars to go inside?

Just an update on this one, went to one of the hotels today and its like something from an Obama visit. Guards and security at every point, full car search including engine and boot then airport style scanner to get in the hotel.

You should have seen the taxi drivers going nuts as they had to get checked every time they came in lol

Olympic greeting party at door plus 2 police with machine guns wandering about and several senior officers standing looking important about as well as numerous yellow jacketed officers trying to look busy
