Hi Guys,

Recently got a new car and its got swirl marks all over it (shivers) - usually I would have tried to resolve this myself but I just don't have the time so I have been looking at some detailers in Glasgow Area.

I have seen these guys which seem really reasonable and looks like they do good work however I can't find much in terms of work they have done, maybe forum members cars or write ups. Anyone have any experiences.

Was looking at the top end paint correction @ £300.

Mike's a good guy, does very good work but i believe a few folk have had trouble getting a reply from him as he's so busy.

Would defo recommend his work though.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply - I guess thats good news! if hes busy it means hes good! might need to just book him in at some point in the future - any articles about his work?

I know Mike well and did a similar detailing course with him a few years ago. I no longer work in that line of work, but I can testify he is a good guy.

I havent had any direct experience of his work, but can confirm he is a genuine guy.

Did he do it at your house Cammy? or did you have it done up in Glasgow? Could do with getting both my cars done.

Another excellent (although more expensive) shout is Gordon Muir at Defined Details in Cambuslanag.

Scotty

He came to my house to do the work. Left the keys and garage open and he was there for 12 hours. 8 til 8. Totally professional - the paint was tougher than he expected and worked longer and harder for the price quoted originally. My car is one of the examples on his website. He also has his own place now if that suit better. Result was totally amazing!

not sure if the £400 is a quoted price, but I paid well short of that and it varies on option, car size and style I.e curves and grooves read difficulty!

Gordon Muir in my opinion is superb , I wont use anyone else again . I've had some muppets attempt it before and I could have done a better job myself .

His work on my Ruby Black Z4MC

Michael Sherry did my car. The paint was pretty bad, but he did an excellent job on mine. He travelled down to my place so was nice and convenient.

Price was pretty reasonable too. smile

Scott, Robert does my cars once a month and I can't praise him highly enough. Gives a hundred percent every time. Arrives at 8am and doesn't stop until cars are immaculate. biggrin

Cheers Cammy and Tom i will check out his site and get him to start with the mini as it needs a going over the most being a darker colour shows up all the little imperfections.
