Any recommended builders in Ayrshire?

I've a ton of work needed doing on my house, and a proposed extension on a house my parents are interested in. The offer on the house subject to how much their plans might cost.

I've called 3 builders so far and none have shown up and none have phoned back (there is a recession on right?) They don't need to be the cheapest but want someone who turns up when they say they will and the works they produce is to a good standard.

can reccomend Breen Roofing and building based in Ardrossan http://www.breen-roofing.co.uk/ have known Pat Breen for over 20 years and he is a good bloke, any work he has done for me has been sound and the fact he has rebuilt most of the churches in the area must say something. say it was big al fae the winton rovers that reccomended him

depends what kinda work you need done andy frews quite good aswell if you need kitchen and bathroom work my uncle has his own business and hes really good at what he does

I used James Mclellan builder to knock down an internal wall/put up an RSJ etc. Thought they were very good and would use again.

Have a look for SMW Joinery Scotland. Stevie Walker, does a large amount of sub contracted work for our company and can highly recommend. Quality of work is only second to his prices! Based in Coylton.

Try Stephen Sutherland of Kylelauren homes, he's based in Ayr, I do work for him so can vouch as to his attitude to jobs from the inside.

Well worth having a chat with him, if he's too busy he'll put you onto somebody else trustworthy.

My folks next door Neighbour is a Builder and has done plenty of work for my folks over the years and good for his word and workmanship , i can send his Details over if you wish. He is Based in Stewarton.

The mother in law just got a garage built by a chap from Ayr, very good job he did to, i will ask her the details of the guy.
