Excellent, now get some more picks up with the door shut and up higher. I've been looking for ages to find a good compromise jack / lift .

I'll record the progress as I build up the courage to put the Ferrari on it smile i spent a while looking too and finally went with this one

Reasonably priced and seems to be pretty well built.

John

nice toy!

Are you not meant to use it as ramps rather than putting the ramp bit under the cill?

You cant put another car under it though? How you going to get 4 cars in the garage?

Would love to see it and see how it works.

When you having an official garage opening anyway? Like the idea of the mobile one, so can use outdoors to wash under car and then do work inside under the cars.

Looks great John, nice and sturdy but doesn't look overly heavy. How is it for manouvering, easy 1 man job?

Frank, you can get a metre height out of them so should be enough to get a tranny out under the tail if your dolly is clever enough. I.e stepped platforms for the wheels rather than with the castors on a flat base.

Young'un, even my decrepit mince pies can read 3000Kg on the side of the ramp. What have you been doing to minimise your visual acuity? yikes

hehe

Paul, i didn't have the height to be able to buy a 4 poster so I could double up the space frown this is a scissor lift so the two ramps you drive over as you can see in the photo are also used for lifting, it's very cool and your welcome to pop over anytime for a look smile

I think a metre into the air would be enough fro transmission removal etc, it actually is higher than you might think and Alan as Tony said the weight limit is 3 tonnes so the Ferrari will be a bit under half the capability of the lift smile

And Ollie, although they say 'mobile' the bd is really really heavy so a bit of huffing and puffing was required to get it moved, it weighs 600kg's smile

Can i just say for the Record ( read Gill) that I think you need a MUCH bigger garage............alongside that one. One can't have too many garages, as they say in ''fur coat nae knickers'' land, sorry Bearsden.

Handy piece of kit there, shame you don't have room for a 4 post ramp as they are great for that extra storage space

They do use the word mobile in it's very loosest sense, once i'm sure it's in the right position it's never moving again, too heavy really.
