Hi,

I'm looking for some clear protection film to be applied to my car. Rear arches, bonnet, wings etc. TBH I've not been making much of an effort looking for an installer. Roodsigns / Vinyl Technics in Kintore no longer offer it.

I managed to get a quote from RPM in Perth who install defendall. However, they want to car for two days. Which isn't really an option for me unless it was somewhere more local

Ideally anywhere between Aberdeen and Inverness would do. I would be willing to travel further, but it would be a faff if I have to leave the car for more than a day.

Any suggestions for the north of Scotland?

Cheers

Baz,

I'm also looking for a supplier in the North East as my Aston is taking a pounding on the side sills forward of the rear wheels.

I'll have a hunt around and let you know if I find anywhere. Donald at Vinyl Cut is very good and may be able to order some in. Alternatively, if a few of us needed the service then it may be possible to persuade a Perth based supplier up. They could use my garage if need be.

Cheers

James

RPM at Perth is is the best the done the front of my Noble.
They won't come up I asked when my car was at Kinghorn getting paint work done.
They need the car for 2 days to alow the adhesive to dry.
They offer a lifetime guarantee on it.

You can order the bits you need and fit on own but they won't ofer a guaranteet

RPM were highly recommended, its just a pain to leave the car there for two days.

James I'll give Vinyl Cut a call in the morn. I do find it surprising that no one really does it up here. What do the dealers use on new cars? Do they do it themselves?

RPM would get my vote. We've had a couple of customers go there for PPF including my dad who had the front end of his FRS when it was new.

Incidentally, I've just removed an entire protection film wrap on a 997 GT3 and it was a complete pain in the ass!

Vinyl cut will fit it no problem all you need to do is purchase what parts of the car you need.
There is a few company's.
Armergaurd
Defendal

They will send you what you need but. But if you don't get one of the agents to fit it they won't guarantee it.

Slight thread bump. Asides from RPM, is there any other recommended places closer to Aberdeen(shire)?

None that I could find. I just made my own templates from large sheets of VentureShield and fitted them to my GT3 in the last few weeks as RPM are the only decent place anywhere near to Aberdeen.

Id be interested in this too the Armafend has taken a right batter on my tuscan and is beginning to look a bit shoddy.

RPM did my dad's RS when it was brand new. They had to make the patten off the car and even they they did a great job.
