Just looking and ...

... is it only Easyjet to Gatwick and BA to Heathrow these days?

It's been a while since I've been down but there used to be a choice.

Cheers,

Hi Eric, you've probably tried expedia.co.uk and travelocity.co.uk....other than the terminally slow websites, they usually have the best deals available.

Sorry Eric, your right. Flybe service ended 28th Oct. Should get easyjet for around 100 , I would have thought. Try opodo.co.uk to search.

Flybe were going to gatwick until recently, made that trip a few times at the start of the year and it was popular for offshore guys from London area.

BMI also used to fly to heathrow but were bought by BA.

Easyjet to Gatwick or Luton is probably the cheapest, unless you have some airmiles/Avios points that you can use on BA and pay the £27 fee.

I regularly fly the Abz-Luton route with Easyjet and it's pretty well priced. Just a pity that silly allocated seats have come into effects as us frequent travellers are nroamml on the back few rows for a quick exit before the slow masses plod out.

The cheapest fare is around £23 (£9 admin fee on top) if you're just travelling with hand luggage. But you would then have to get a train down through London via St. Pancras.

Thanks everyone, need to be down and back in the same day for a funeral in Guildford so I have to bend over for BA I'm afraid.

No real savings to be had over what BA are advertising themselves I'm afraid.

I see you had a wee missive published in AutoSport today. biggrin

If you have any Tesco vouchers, you can convert them to Avois (only need 9000 for a return flight to London) plus a £30 fee. You can also buy 9,000 Avios for £159 if you didn't have any, so works out cheaper than paying for a full price ticket, assuming there are seats available on the flights.

Oh no it's not! Over priced, warm beer. Blinds in "room" don't open, no room to swing a cat and pish covered toilets. Hardly the Orient fking Express!!
