Proposed Rolling Road Day Sat 15th December

I'm looking at organising a rolling road day at Extreme Motor Sport in Whitburn on Saturday 15th December.

This was posted up on the audisrs forum yesterday and at present we have 6 cars with a couple to be confirmed. I'll probably get a few more cars and no doubt a few call offs nearer the time. They will run the day with min 5 cars, but ideally looking for 10-12 which will be a good number as you don't want to be standing about all day freezing your ass off.

2 runs and it will be £50. It's normally 12+ cars for £35, but that's for 2 wheel drive and low power ( not sure what difference it makes).

I spoke to John and he seems really nice and was helpful. One thing to point out, if there is a good bit of snow then the day will be cancelled. Snow mixed in with some salt being blown off the cars into the dyno ain't going to be that good for it. I would know the day before.

When i have 5-6 definates, then i will book the day, but numbers will be limited. If you want to go then add your name and what car you will be taking. Probably only 5 spaces to ph members.

If it's morning I'll be able to make it in the RS6

It's normally an early start and running constant until the cars are done. Last one started at 9 IIRC.

Kenny, your timing sucks for me, too close to Chrimbo. Hope you get good numbers though.

I can make it a morning start, should be either 0900 or 1000. I'll add your name to the list and nice to see an RS6 on the rollers.

Been to a few RR days @ Extreme in the last couple of years. Very good indeed, even if their rollers do read a little on the high side.

2nd time there was in the snow. Stuck the track wheels with R888s on for Knockhill the next day. That was an adventure for sure trying to get to Extreme on them in the snow. Also, inside the dyno room was -15 degrees with the fans going. Can see why they now cancel them if the weather is that bad.

I'll pm you with regards to your car on the rollers. You must beable to lock it into gear without it kicking down a gear or two. I believe the rs6 with the lambo engine can't do this, so dependson the spec of your car.

I'd very much like to get the car (Volvo S70R) onto the rollers, but I work Saturdays so can't really commit at this point.

If there looks like any reasonable prospect of making it nearer the time I'll let you know.

Just reread this and realised (from the number of Audis!) that this originated as an Audi OC event. So, if you get bombarded with requests from other Audi owners, I'll give up my place. Otherwise, I'll see you there

I'm not sure, he just said he can't do the new one with the lambo engine. I know of one RS6 that ran at wallace performance in Aberdeen at a recent rr day. I think they both have the same type of roller, but stand corrected if i'm wrong.
