...and no it's not a new car (and goes some way to explaining why I've been so quiet this year with runs & pub meets)!

On 7th November, the missus delivered our first child by caesarian, a beautiful baby girl called Lily.

She was delivered at 7lb 5oz, twelve days late (takes after her da) and surprised us as we thought it might be a lazy boy.

Everyone's doing great and she's 4 weeks old today -- I'll post a pic when I've got a minute later.

And no, we're not looking at 4x4s or SUVs... an Evoque for the missus, perhaps

Congratulations to Maw, Paw & Wean!! smile

Don't believe what anyone tells you about girls being more expensive than boys. Based on my kids, the boy works out at approx 3 times more expensive and is still costing substantially more despite both kids having "flown the nest".

That's great news! Best wishes to the family and good luck with two ladyfolks in the house.

It's quite handy that you already have a family car then :-)

...and an appropriate user name!

Although, if a fully-folded iCandy fits in the half-full boot of a 116d, I'm fairly sure it'll also fit in the back of an E46 M3...

Cheers one & all.

The M135i looks like a special car. Maybe in 3-4 years.

Been looking at the new AMG A-Class thingy (A25? A45?) and even at Focus ST Estates too. Still hankering after an E46 though.. whistle

cheers

The numbers have been crunched and TBH, I can't get on with the running costs to performance ratio...

Congrats to you and the family. My wee one was 1oz lighter and arrived the same way.... she will be 18months on the 22nd, how time flys. The S4 avant was a good family car, but i really needed something more pratical, so bought an RS4.

I'm hoping to arrange a family BBQ in the summer, so perfect time to come along and show her off.

Congrats! Great day' same as my missus bday.
As a fellow VAG man, I sold my 90quattro and bought an e46 m3, have 3 kids' all fit in the car... Have an a6 avant also, but the m really is a briiliant all rounder, and on winters as capable as the old Q
