Can anyone recommend a nice friendly MOT tester in Glasgow (preferably south side) for my Saab Aero shed.

It's a brilliant car, although not worth much so I don't want to take it to anyone who is going to rip me off by trying to get un-necessary work paid for.

Cheers kiwi

Mo who runs the garage at the top of Amulree Street in Shettleston just down behind the big Co-Op is worth a call. Has been doing work on family cars for the past 5-6 years and has been excellent.

My mum , wife and I all use B & S Motor Engineers in Thornliebank Industrial Estate. They've done all sorts of work on my WRX , my mum's Forester and the wife's wee Justy . I think they are very reasonable price-wise. Proper mechanics!
I was recommended them by a business colleague and happy to do the same smile

Hope that helps,

They are very handy to you Fraser, usually offer service and mot for 75 quid! Maybe a little more for a saaaaab but they're very reasonable.

I believe they are the garage who pop up most in the service history of the 1 series I've recently bought - good to know they are reputable smile

I recognise them as the one's who advertise in the Extra free paper. Given they are closest and I'm not far away from needing a service, I'll try them first thumbup

I always take my car to First Stop on Cambauslang Road. Been going there for years. "Big Sinky", the guy who runs it, is a really good guy.

Good news, tested locally after a recommendation from a neighbour who loves his collection of cars.

Passed, with a couple of minor advisories that I'll have done before Christmas. Still loving the Saab Aero biggrin

Cheers all for the recommendations, and hopefully this thread will serve as a good reference point for future searches (if the search function is working wink )
