There is a couple of half decent chip shops on the high street. I seem to remember one has tables inside for you to eat at.
The beach is good for a picnic too.
There's one,it's called the trawler. Not the ideal place for a business lunch but nice enough all the same. The beach is good for a picnic too.
Struggling to think of anywhere else to be honest, the Marine hotel in Brora is only another 5 minutes along the road, maybe a bit too posh though. http://www.royalmarinebrora.com/
ETA the golf club in Golspie does good food these days but I'm not sure if the clubhouse would be an ideal meeting place or even if they do anything through the week, most of their trade is at the weekends just now.
Is it someone local you're meeting? They should have a good idea of where to go if it is.

theres a nice restraunt at the end of town (northside) basicly right through town turn left round a 90*corner and its on your lefthandside on a slight right. don't know the name at all though
It's shut and on the market yet again, been opened and closed a good few times in the last few years, was a good public bar at one time too.Shame but it's the way all the smaller villages are going now.RS16i said:

Good shout with the Marine Hotel - that might well do.
(Possibly a bit far away but I realise that there might not be that many alternatives in the area!!)
I think your scope in Golspie is pretty much limited to deep fried bar food.
I was going to suggest The Royal Marine in Brora too - it's probably your best bet.
I also remember a wee bistro type place in Brora - close to the railway station.
Looking at Google Maps, it must be Il Padrino although I don't recall it being an Italian. Looks quite nice though.

I didn't eat there but some friends did and said it was good (we're talking six odd years ago mind).
If you go for the Royal Marine or the one above, please do phone first to check places are open.
Murray and I have some great stories about a weekend in Brora including one of a bloke with no legs wanting to fight a barman ... and the place we were staying in running out of gin.
Have a good trip.
Cheers,
Eric

The Italian place is now Indian,I think it would have been called the quiet piggy or something along those lines when you were there, that was it's first name as a restaurant.I was going to suggest The Royal Marine in Brora too - it's probably your best bet.

There is nowhere really decent in Golspie these days. We usually head through to Tain (20 mins away) and in to the Carnegie hotel, really good menu and always superb food. http://www.carnegiehotel.co.uk/
Also in Tain is the Morangie, it was great when we last visited but it has been a while.
As mentioned, the Marine in Brora is worth a visit too
Avoid the Chinese in Golspie at all costs!

I don't think it'll be that sort of meeting, but then again, as the old saying goes:
