Was leaving the house today with the family to go and meet up with flipflop and his family. Rain was forecast, but took the rs anyway since it was a little bit dirty from going in to Glasgow yesterday. Had some nice scoff and was good to catch up with Andy and see the wee ones running about. ph runs came up in the conversation of course...... so hopefully flip will have some new wheels by the summertime. Failing that he can ride shotgun with me!!

When we were leaving Stirling it was 2.30pm and was 10c. Dry with a bit of sun and i was tempted to dropoff the wife and wee one and go for a blast. 46litres of shell v-power and nappies from Tesco and it was after 3.30pm. I decided to hoover out the rs and the cupra which was boggin. Then a quick wash on both cars, took a few snaps of the rs and it was 5pm. Then took the dog out a run to burn off the milk shake i had at lunchtime.

Looking forward to some warmer dry weather to go out a wee blast. Probably be an early morning run, so keep your eyes peeled if you want to go.

Nice arches Kenny, better than Stuart's blue heap but not the grey one wink

Just was out a wee run up the back road to Callander today excercising the cripplewagon.

I did about 20 miles in the Ferrari this weekend, but it's very slippy out there.

Spent the day in the studio, when I left it was foggy and raining and the entire journey seemed to be populated by idiots that felt it necessary to have all lights on full and drive as close as possible to the back of me regardless of conditions, or the fact that there were other vehicles in front of me.

So basically I am jealous that you got a good run.

Great to see you guys today, RS sounded amazing when I heard you drive past, well jealous. Between hearing your car and watching top gear tonight I'm missing having a toy badlytoniht.

Hopefully back in the scene with something soon enough and back out on the runs for the banter (not so confident on the bragging rights tho, Audi looks a formidable opponent).

You know, with dry recently washed roads I was going to get the vette out today for a short run around, but first I had to run Mrs G down to Leith, she doesn't like the vette (too much attention) and so I took the funky Fiat. Just as well, so many 25mph cruisers who over brake for corners, or even buses coming in the opposite direction who are no hazard. It reminded me of so many times taking the vette into town at weekends and the number of times I have resolved not to do it. I never used to have a 'Sunday driver' thing but it really does to have appeared, driving the vette into town during the week is rarely a problem, but weekends, sheeesh!

Sorry about the rant, but one of the few dry road days this winter.....

I went on a massive hoon from Burnside to EK and back in the new steed.

Still haven't washed it and it's residing outside the burds house, much to her dismay.

Early morning scoot sounds good.

Just like old times getting us both out. The rs goes as good as it sounds.

Roads still need more rain to wash all the grit and stuff off. Roll on March/April and i'll leave the wife and wee one in the house.

Was tempted but there's still too much salt on the roads for my liking!

Had some free time Saturday afternoon so went a wee 120 mile run, zig zagged south across Strathaven, Muirkirk, Douglas, Sanquhar, Leadhills and Thornhill. Followed a R32 at reasonable pace on the way back along the A702 from Thornhill.
Quite a few wet patches across the roads, some of which were frozen or slush so didn't push it too much.

Put a pistonheads sticker on the back of the Elise Sunday biggrin

I had the RS out for an hour late on only to find that while everyone is fine with barrelling down a dual carriageway at 20mph plus above the speed limit, overtaking on an A-road has suddenly become socially unacceptable even when the road is clear ahead and no cutting in is involved.

That's because your rs is a hooligans motor. You didn't turn left towards cowie off the plean road about 2.45 on sun. I overtook a slow moving car and just came up behind a blue focus rs as they turned off.

On the basis of me having no idea where either of these places are I'll say no, it was not I!

I'm very close to a Vette owner on here from what I can gather Kenny, bit further east than Stirling.

Those runs were a fun day out, though the overtaking thing also appeared to be unpopular with some other road users depending on how many PHers had been past them already!

The fragrant Mrs T & I had a great blast up to Braemar today in fantastic sunshine. Top marks go to the two guys later on heading North as we were heading home in an MX5 roof down at 5oC. thumbup

Finally got the vette out today, did all the checks found the oil barely dirty, not surprised with last years weather it barely left the garage. Couldn't go far but at least I got it breathing.
