Get the full wheel alignment done. Its not that much more expensive than getting tracking done. I have no idea if its a common fault or not.
Thanks for feedback Full tracking has been done twice and alignment checked on 2nd visit VW main dealer has been totally useless denies problem exists despite damage to tyresTyre wear is not normal version .My A4 AVANT is doing 25k on a set of Tyres and MX 5 is north of 20k
VW has had new tyres at 14k and now again at 28k Tyre replaced due to scrubbing
The scrubbing according to Kwik Fit is uneven and not in line with normal wear and tear
Trying to establish if this a problem that is going to be ongoing with car, love it when running ok but if this continues it will have to be replaced
Get the alignment checked by an independent party if you think the main stealer is lying to you. If you are anywhere near sighthill in Edinburgh there is a garage there regarded as one of the best around for getting your alignment done.
