Looking for a place to get a manifold with a sport cat made up. Read on a few civic/type r forums that Meerkat does manifolds...in Greenock? Anyone know of any other places?

C+C in hillington are very good. Used them in the past on my old ep3 and they built and fitted a turbo back system on my Volvo.

Place in Falkirk, sure it's called stainless creations. I was in the other week collecting stuff and they were showing me a manifold they'd made on an E30 with an M5 engine. Looked stunning!

How much you talking about for a manifold though? Quoted 600 from meerca, which seems good....only over an hours drive away

I've used meercat before and would use them again as the quality of their work was very good. But ...... I'm not sure if I'd want to use them (or any other one off manufacturer) for a manifold. Manifolds are very much a black art and the best welding and construction in the world will not make up for poor choice in primary ID's and length. There's a massive amount of trial and errors to get the right combination and based on that I'd be looking to buy a proven product.

When it comes to downpipes, cats and beyond then fill your boots.

Thats thing thing, the only manifolds are available are mostly decats around 250-400 cheaply from some random chinese seller which needs modified to fit or and higher for a piper manifold which would also need a link pipe which costs as much as the manifold haha....or monster sport manifold with cat for over £1k! So don't have much choice really.

One thing Willie at meet cat does very well is manifold hence a lot of the rally guys use him he is not just a welder fabricator he is very good and knowing how to get the most power from manifolds and full systems. One example was his snakes head manifolds for subarus

Thats the main thing im after! Not just a manifold that fits, but a well thought out and designed manifold. Think Will sounds like he knows what hes doing and sounds pleasant enough to reply to my emails at 10 at night!

Sorry mate but that's not a manifold. That's a downpipe which I did say they were good at.

In subaru terms a manifold would commonly be referred to as the headers and would be bolted to the underside of the heads not the arse end of the turbo. Ask Willie to make you a set of these and see what he says.
