A82 West Dunbartonshire - A82 in Balloch closed in both directions between Stoneymollan Roundabout and the B831 junction, because of a multi-vehicle accident. Diversion in operation - via Helensburgh.

Bad one near me today too, the 'mile straight' just outside Whitburn, seems a car went to overtake an ambulance-type vehicle (I suspect it is a patient transfer/taxi for disabled and differently-abled persons) and went head-on with a truck coming the other way, driver of the car died at the scene. Road has been shut for all afternoon and some of the evening.

Just read that on twitter but no mention of Lorry? Just a Corsa and Ambulance - both caught fire instantly.

Its quite a deceiving bit of road, although straight the road slopes quite a bit and I have witnessed a few scary moments on here.

Its so sad the amount of accidents reading about just now - folks that leave home one day for whatever reason, work, buy a pint of milk or visit a friend, and they are never going to be returning home.

Its bad enough if you have a close one who dies after a long illness but to wave someone goodbye on a routine day and instead of them returning, you get a visit from the Police to tell you they are dead.

RIP
