Morning all,

After a bit of help regarding a 50th b'day present for the FIL. He is well into his cars and we are looking to get him something suitable for his b'day next month. So far top of the list is a weekends hospitality at the BTCC at Silverstone. We have been and done knockhill over the last few years both driving and spectating so are looking for something a bit further afield as we are based in Aberdeenshire.

Any thoughts? Without putting a budget cap on it I would say around £500.
Cheers.

Hi Jason

Give Gary at Just Gold Hospitality a call.

They have boxes at Silverstone and im sure he will put something good together for you.

Just tell him I sent you, not that theres anything in it for me but past experiences were good.

Speaking as a 'motorsport old git' who has done most of the local stuff this has real appeal, a bit over your budget but could be an add on to a holiday (shout are you listening family!)

Cheers for the recommendations guys, the corp hosp at Silverstone looks like a goer at the moment.

I too would love to go to Monaco for the F1, as much as he enjoys the F1 he prefers BTCC though but thanks a lot for the suggestion.

Cheers Eric, although those are cool he would NEVER wear them as he is a Boatbuilder by day. Thanks for the recommendation though, could buy them for myself!

If he likes his bikes, think about the Isle of Man - I got a pair of day return flights from Glasgow for the senior TT for my old man's 65th from Loganair/FlyBe for £200 each. Needless to say, he had no-one to go with, so I had to put my name on the 2nd one... laugh

Just a quick update to say we went ahead and booked through Just Gold Hospitality.

Great package for a weekends action of BTCC booked, really looking forward to it now!
