I am moving to Ellon in the next month, and the car is needing serviced... So I am just wandering if my local garage is any good? Or am I better sticking with who I know best, Ricky Gauld..?

Cheers! smile

Was local to Ellon but moved away ages ago so can't offer any advice on Overton.

However a very good mate of mine owns Hatton Garage if you are looking for any recommendations.

Cheers
George

You won’t go wrong with Overton in Ellon.

Family owned and the two sons that run the garage (mechanics) are true petrol heads and both race cars.

I’m surprised more people don’t use them because they know their stuff and more importantly your car will be looked after by someone that cares.

Both Stuart and Graham know their stuff and have been competitive racers most of their lives - get talking to them about Brisca F2 and I doubt you'll get out of the garage the same day. smile

Is their old man still on the go? I washed/valeted cars there as a student back in '97.

Still remember the 1/2 year old Vectras and Fiestas to this day.

...and the stinking 200k mile 405 that was half an inch thick in cigarette tar. 3 fking times I had to clean the inside of that thing. Not that I'm bitter or anything.

I used to call him Mr Happy, he was a hard man to please.ranting Used to hate when he called or came into my work for spares.

Do the Kelly brothers still do Brisca F2 racing? I used to visit Cowdenbeath almost every week back in the early 2000's and was also a fan of 721 Graeme Kelly.

Well I ended up getting it serviced there and the guys are spot on! Couldn't have gotten better service from them.
