Got a 4yr old Samsung fridge freezer which has stopped cooling properly.

Suspect it's something to do with a fan not circulating the cold air through the fridge properly.

Is there anyone in the Aberdeen area who can repair these things? I'm sure it's a simple fix for someone who knows their way around a fridge.

Cheers

I had a similar problem with a Samsung fridge of a similar vintage, although mine was younger at the time. I'd check with Samsung as there are known faults with some models and you may get it repaired until warranty/goodwill.

Samsung sent someone from Inverness to Aberdeen to fix it, would you believe. So I can't help with finding a local repair guy.

Had a fault on a samsung 3 ish year old LCD tv (not turning on). Called Samsung they took the model and serial No over the phone and the next day a lad came from Dundee to aberdeen and repaired it free of charge!

I had no extend warranty or anything like that, common fault alparently with that range of TV, But still a fantastic service IMO.

Give them a call you never know!

You could ask in whitegoods http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/forumsphpbb3/ for advice as to the fault and local engineers .

We had problems with our three year old Samsung American style fridge freezer too.

Ice build up in the fridge side was an indicator of worse things internally. Grampian Domestics on Holburn Street came out, diagnosed it and sorted it. Very reasonable and I'd recommend them all day long thumbup
