Any recommendations for private track tuition at Knockhill?
- just bought an m5 f10 so would like to learn how to use it properly.....

Go to one of the SIDC days.

They are quite civilised and there's always an instructor on hand who you can take out for a few laps in either seat or both.

Knockhill offer a Performance Driving Course in your own car for £125 - http://driving-experience.knockhill.com/driving_co... . I've done this a few times now in various cars (and have another one coming up - thanks for the birthday voucher, Mrs H!). Always good fun, always ready to learn something new.

Book in to a track night and speak to couple drivers that race in the smrc

Even sandy Forrest will offer to sit shotgun and coach

I've got very little racing experience to coach you on the limit but I'm happy to coach your basic lines braking points and turn in points. Rest down to smoothness and slow in fast out

Knockers suggestions are perhaps the most practical , but it's another big "thumbs up" for Walshy from me - I learned more in a day than I had thought possible.

He has unbelievable car control skills and the ability to pass (much of) them on to his pupils. Even ones who've put him into a turnip field backwards at 80mph......

(Perhaps he's the Stig's Welsh cousin )

I did knock hill it was okay but not really that much time

I woudl take a track day with SIDC/Trackscotland or a bmw car club day and book Hamish Smart who wrote the book

- so, want to learn balancing throttle/ weight transfer etc and handling 550 bhp appropriately. ....

Just did performance drive course on thursday with vxr8 ls3. wow. instructor was great-andrew-. done them once or twice before with dax cobra but this was awesome. i did not know that the car- or me were capable of what we did.I know its a small circuit but in a big car its challenging. I loved it. Wee video on knockhill face book page.-Stuart gray was impressed with vxr8 exhaust....
