Chaps,

I've just driven back from Linlithgow to Edinburgh and noticed the new M9 Gantries which have "variable speed" with a lovely big picture of a speed camera... I am hoping that a kind PH'er is going to make me aware there is no speed camera and the only one I would pass is under the bridge at newbridge which is 50?

Yours truly,

A worried PH'er

Just realised the roughy time from your first post. Nobody obeys the speed limit till the last of the late brakers at the newbridge camera

There is a couple of speed cameras on the M90 beyond the forth road bridge but as far as I know there is no speed cameras on the M9 apart from at Newbridge.

Cameras have been installed on a couple of gantries heading from the bridge, but not yet on the section heading toward the bridge, although judging by the holes in the gantries it's only a matter of time. Interestingly though, the distance markers have only been painted on one side of the carriageway; where the cameras are currently installed.
I've no idea if these cameras are actually working yet as I've never seen them go off.

Apparantly, think I read it in another forum that they can sometimes switch the cameras on whenever they like. So just don't go too crazy.
