will be on the lookout for a new car for the wife over the next couple of months. max budget 6k. She is looking at a Peugeot 207. What other cars would be available for this price range that is reliable? The car is for a family of 5, 2 kids under 5 and one 12. What car dealerships would you recommend and which ones to avoid? I have heard horror stories about Arnold Clark, are they that bad? Considering a fiesta as well.

Have bought twice from Arnold, no problems either time.

Bought one car from a dealer that has been bought by Henry's. No problems.

Wife, was girlfriend at the time bought her first from Arnold, no problems. Her mum bought one there as well. No problems.

I think it comes down to knowing what you want and what you're willing to pay. If not happy, walk away.
