Hi, had our wedding in 1 Dev. But Cromlix is going to be on another level, I was involved with some of the work and know ICMI well, will be incredible.

we are looking to stay in Glasgow the weekend of 14/15th March as I have 2 Hue & Cry gigs in the O2 ABC, one on each night.
I need somewhere I can park my car as well.
Can anyone recommend somewhere reasonably central with access to parking?
Doesn't have to be 5 star plus, but nice and clean for starters...

Dinner the first time was excellent, exceptionally good.
Dinner the second time was average. The room was very large and the GF liked it, but I felt the layout was poor as was the coffee machine. However we were also given the room backing on to reception with staff coming & going and chattering & laughing through the night, combined with possibly the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on meant I had very little sleep. At one point I considered going back to her flat at the botanics and would never choose to stay again.

Its a fair walk up there as opposite side of city centre across the river. There are plenty of Places in the City Centre with parking. Depends on your budget. The Blythswood is very close and a nice place and location. Mal Maison likewise. Loads of places to eat in the centre too, plus these places offer food, although the blythswood can be pricey. Walking distance to O2?

My mrs. and I stayed at the Brunswick a few months back. Would be a wee bit of a walk back from the O2 ABC but we walked back from the O2 Academy that night, wasn't that bad a hike. No on-site parking but we left the car in the Q-Park nearby, think it was £12 for 24 hours.
The hotel itself was nice, quite funky decor etc. and the bar had good atmosphere, nice drinks and some cracking food.

I wouldn't stay at the Sherbrooke. I used to work there and now live round the corner and although it looks nice from the outside, inside it is cramped and needs investment in the rooms. Friends of mine stayed recently and weren't impressed.
During summer its very much a wedding venue so if there's one on the same weekend you'll struggle to get near the bar, or get past the cars, or up the stairs due to the guests and photographers.
Plus it's not a castle, it's a Greek Thomson villa.
I'd look at Malmaison, Abode or Brunswick. The penthouse they have there is split level fantastic but isn't cheap.

Just remembered about this thread. We ended up staying at the Orchard Park which was really nice. The place was spotlessly clean and well presented, think it may have been redecorated recently. Room was nice and big with good facilities, the bar and restaurant were great for food and drink and the staff were excellent, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend, we'll be going back there next time we're in the area.
