Alloy Wheel Repair in Edinburgh

So I was a tit and drove over the kerb of a traffic island...

Small scrape to the alloy which then punctured the tyre right by the bead.

Anyone got any recent recommendations for wheel repair in or around Edinburgh?

Had a search on here and The Wheel Specialist looks okay but that post was over two years ago.

Any one had wheel repaired at Pentland Powdercoating?

Had my 18" MV1 alloys off my 325 Sport done at Loanhead and the 19's off the M5 at Gyle, the finish was better at TWS in my opinion.

For Edinburgh-ish PHers, got quotes of £216 from Pentland Powder Coating and £300 (with a discount) from The Wheel Specialist.

I was repainting them myself, but it's just so time consuming that I've only managed 1 and a half in over a month!

Any updates of opinions of these two places? Or any others I've missed out (email bounced for Wheel Pro Scotland).

Newlife tyres (redpath tyres) in Niddrie sorted out a few scuffs and powder coating on my 18" alloys for £270. I dropped the car off at 8am and got it back by 4pm the same day.

Well I went to the Wheel Specialist.

They did the wheel in one day and a very good paint match to the Audi silver colour.

The quality was very good too, and a couple of months on it is still looking great!

Likewise.

I had my wheels done there last year. They were happy for me to have new tyres delivered to them, and deal with the swap-over at the same time.

When I spotted a bit of the coating had flaked off around the valve a few weeks later, they had the wheel off, recoated and refitted the same day. Can't argue with that.

Finish of the coating was an exact match for the factory paint. Checked against the spare and you literally couldn't tell.

After reading these posts I decided to get a quote for my 20" Senta alloys on the XK-R for change of colour to gunmetal.
Quick and very reasonable quote back from Colin and they will even pick up the car and return to the Jaguar dealership in Edinburgh while the car is in for it's annual service and I'm away in the sunshine
Can't get better service than that, will post pics once done and sorted.
