VAG 1,.8T Remap in Central Scotland?
Discussion
Thinking about a remap as I don't really have the funds to consider a change of vehicle so figured I would change how the vehicle went instead! It's a Leon Cupra 180. Can anyone recommend someone that will do it without drama? Hopefully they should also be open to a discount. I'm sure it's not just me that objects to £400 to plug a laptop in, press a few buttons and then expect to be paid handsomely. Thank you kindly.
Depending on what you want, will have a bearing on the price. If you want a simple remap, then i know a guy very well who will come to your house and do it. He is very good and his background is mechanic/diagnostic technition ( i think it was for peugoet). He done one on my 140bhp tdi caddy van and it went rather well. Cost will probably be £200-£250 at a guess. Plug in laptop, download and good to go.
If you want to spend a bit more, then i'd suggest Revo. Download software and then your car would be taken out on the road for a live map. Not too sure about the cupra, but probably only adjust the boost and timing to get the best out of your car. Sometime fueling adjusted too. Revo would probably be £350-£400 and the nearest agent would be SP Autobahn in Stirling. Stu is very particular and he does all the work on my rs4 and my mk1 seat cupra.
A couple of options for you and if you want contact numbers then let me know.
Kenny.

This is the place to go, he did my Cupra and it went well indeedal
ECO TUNE for me.Leon FR TDI.They did the dpf/downpipe removal combined it with a number of runs on the rolling road. They found that i had a split diaphragm in the system and replaced it while they were working on the car(FOC).Service combined with knowledge. They are popular with the seat cupra forum and occasionally do a group buy on rr and tuning.
My figures were good up from 170bhp to 212bhp torque is fantastic.Combined with better fuel consumption(when i can resist kicking it )

Revo. Find a dealer here - http://www.revotechnik.com/locate-a-dealer/
Some mixed reports on Star Performance on seatcupra.net, a close friend of mine swears he'll never go back there again. Similarly some positive stories too though but when I was in the same position a couple of years ago I had my Leon Cupra R mapped with a Revo map from Wallace Performance and very happy with it.
