Full geometry check in Central Scotland - whos good ?
Discussion
Hi ,
Looking to get a full geometry check and adjustment carried out on my classic mini cooper........ having spent its life in Japan I'm just keen to get everything checked out and know that its running as well as intended . There is a slight 'shimmy' from the steering at 55mph but that's a wheel balance issue which I can address however I want a full geometry check carried out . Here is the car in question - please excuse the ugly dude !

+1will never use another mechanic as long as Andy's trading!!
plus if your lucky you will see his time attack Lotus while your in, masterpiece!!
I can recommend most of the suggestions above!
Andy @ Automek services my Impreza and is excellent. They got a new geo setup and I'll be getting the alignment done there soon (have used ProGrip in the past too who were also good). And yes Andy's Time Attack Lotus is very nice!
CLCM have got a very good rep and are used by Lotus Edinburgh, although when my Elise was done recently it wasn't quite spot on so will be going back sometime (never had an issue there before).
Peter @ Motortune looked after my 968 for about 5 years and was always very good.

I took my car for alignment at Pro-Grip in Larbert. Told him it was pulling left and the steering wasn't straight. He aligned it and said everything was fine underneath.
Drove just as s
t as before until I took it to a garage a few days later and turned out it had 2 faulty tie rods, worn balljoint and a seized camber adjustment bolt. Waste of £60 getting it aligne when the vital components he 'Checked' were goosed.
