I like the idea of doing some advanced driving in or around Edinburgh.

Can anyone recommend anything?

The first stage in this is to join the IAM. You will then have your driving assessed in your own car by an IAM observer, many of whom are advanced police drivers or instructors.

You will be seriously surprised at how much it will improve your driving in a very short space of time: but be prepared to accept criticism! You can then go on to further advanced courses such as ROSPA.

Another for IAM, just highlights points where you can improve efficiency etc. Very good if you have bad habits like I did.
