Not cars but... My oldest loon will be 15 shortly, Rather than usual presses quite fancy flying lesson for him. He does have an interest in planes and flying.
I have checked out ages and 14 seems normal, no min age limit apparently.
So, to rthe point, can anyone recommend a good place for a first time lesson for my son. I don't object to cost as long as it is good.

There is a GA flying School, a microlight school, gyrocopter school and helicopter school.
I am biased of course, but there really is ONLY one type of flying for fun. Happy to show you around the airfield and take the loon for a wee hurl around the sky to whet his appetite

I can jump in my Flexwing after breakfast and be having a late dinner in the French alps near Marseille. Last Friday it was a nice day so I went from Perth to Mull for lunch, then Gigha, then Jura, around Islay and popped into Bute for a burger before getting back to Perth before 5. The "social scene" is fairly active with fly-outs to various places replacing car runs.
I organised a few car meets down at the airfield last year and had some flying pals take anyone up for a wee flight in flexwings, fixed wings, gyrocopters and helicopters. Might be time for another one if there is any interest.
Drop me a message if you want any more info and if you get yourself down to Perth then I am happy to take you up for a flight... you WILL enjoy it

HJS is nearby but not want in to spoil the chopper flights I booked for goodwood this year. I have been in far too many choppers from offshore days so it doesn't feel special to me, but will do for the boy.
He does like his planes/ winged aircraft.
Perth isn't far away, will drop. pm renmure. Nice reply, I knew there are a few fly boys on here! Seems a few of the lotus folks fly as well...
Microlights I do love, like open top driving!
No objection to paying,, typing on tablet which isn't playinng ball.

I would love a flight!
An alternative to Perth is Cabro at Aberdeen Airport if you don't want to travel (www.cabroaviation.co.uk).
No experience of it personally but was reading about it just yesterday and thought of this thread.
For what it's worth, I did an hour lesson out of Perth last year and it was fantastic. Highly recommended.

If he sticks with it he'll get lots of time flying and gliding!

Lots of flying in gliders, fixed wing and some helis!
(Only costs a tiny monthly 'subscription' and extra for summer camps and the like, but they are only like £50 for a week away)
