Hi all,

I have arranged a photo-shoot with the stunning Kelpies as a back-drop for a few American cars in the area for this Sunday 11th.May@8.30AM until 10AM and was wondering if anybody on here would be interested in coming along for a gander.
The time is a bit of a pain in the arse granted but it's due to the health and safety nonsense we are all too aware of in this day and age.
Should have about 10 cars on show namely Corvettes, a 70's Dodge Challenger and various Mustangs ranging from an immaculate 65 right up to a current Shelby GT 500 with all of 662 BHP!
Pretty much the same car Jeremy Clarkson did the Wembley to San Siro,Milan challenge on Top Gear not all that long ago
All welcome.

Eric

Sounds good - will try and pop down for a look! Spent too much time watching 'Fast N' Loud' recently so will be good to see some American muscle in the metal! hehe

Wish I'd known about that as well! Really need somewhere that lists all events going on.

Thanks for the interest guys.Just got the go-ahead to put this together on Tuesday afternoon hence the short notice. The guy who had the final say if I could put the cars on the lower plaza was on holiday till Tuesday so it was a bit of a rush.
Will ask about the possibility of putting on a display somewhere else in the Helix park at a later date with hopefully more yanks.
Will get pix up ASAP.
This is as close as I could get previously.

I'll almost certainly pop along for a bit. The time is actually good for me, moving flat on Sunday and picking the Van up from Faliirk at 9am.

A '65 Mustang is in the dream car list cloud9

Have to have a collection of Mustang's photographed in front of the sculpture!

I think this is one of the most of impressive pieces of art I have ever seen, BTW.

Not sure if I can make it - most importantly I don't think I would have any time to wash the Camaro - just back from a run up to Perth and busy all day tomorrow! If I get a chance to wash her tomorrow and manage to get some time off for good behaviour I'll try and get along.

You've got a C6 ZO6 and you want to know if the numbers are fixed?Let me think about it.Right, thought about it for all of a nano second.
Meet-up pre-the Helix park at McDonalds,Earlsgate roundabout,Grangemouth at 8.15.I'll have a Danish pastry waiting on you. Never seen a Zo6 since I saw them running down the production line in BG.
For the record looking at a cruise to maybe Wallace monument after 10 then possibly more photos and lunch at Airth Castle hotel.
Bring on the Z
Eric.

Yeah, it's black but wasn't me I'm afraid. I was working in Inverness all week and the car was in Glasgow.

Sounds good guys.8.15 at McDonalds for all interested will be a lot easier if we all enter the park at the same time to gain access to the lower plaza. This was a shoot with a Ferrari that was done just before the Kelpies official opening.Ofcourse will look a lot better with some American presence.....

McDonalds is right on the same roundabout as the BP service station. It's the roundabout that's at the M9 flyover.
