Just a quick one before we call insurance,

Mrs had a bump last night. At 12:45am, she's sat at a set of traffic lights. Realising she is in the wrong lane, decides to reverse slightly to correct route and get in lane. Small car behind unseen as it had no lights on and also very close to our bumper.

Thoughts ? Should my mrs reversed in first place ? or would other driver not having light on be major factor ?

Our cars not bad but other car pretty beat up ( X6 vs clio )

My immediate opinion is we are to blame but just though Id ask.

if someone reverses into another car, lights on or not, then they are to blame. Sorry

I still managed to do this in my X5 into my mini (parked). The boys still remind me of this hehe

Are you sure they didn't have lights on?

I'd imagine that if a little Clio was close behind a big X6 the lights would be too low to see?

If they were still and your were moving, I can't see the decision going any other way apart from against the wife.

Hopefully the claim won't be too harsh on your premium.

yeah suspected its wives fault. I wasn't there but she said as soon as she put it in reverse and moved, she hit. Didn't notice parking sensors as it was instant. No camera on ours.

Wife said her lights were off and has picture of girls car with damage and lights off.

We have slight damage, I think its enough to warrant a new cayenne, wife doesn't biggrin
