Heading out tonight after work and looking for somewhere fairly central between Prestonpans and South Lanarkshire for a few folk to meet up. Ideally a pub etc would be good. Have used Linlithgow before which is near enough the middle.

Suggestions welcome!

Good idea, had totally forgotten it was there. Having never visited, can you confirm if it is the type of place whereby you could meet for a few drinks and head home or is it, as the website suggests, only really for food?

Good question!

There is also this place, which is about two minutes from Champs.

Both of those choices are restaurants primarily. If you want a couple of drinks only and not food try the 4 marys, the old post office or the star and garter in linlithgow. Just park in the long stay car park at tescos or you might find on street parking if your lucky.

Thanks for the recommendation, went last night and the food was great. Had a walk along the canal as well and will definitely return. Cheers!
