I see its billed as 'free' show - yeah right I've heard they're charging £10 to park at the Low Green - if you can get anywhere near it!

Yep, our beloved South Ayrshire Council have as usual tried to coin it in

"Chiselling Weasels"

Still, IMO the £10 is worth it for the Vulcan alone.

I'd have paid double for the Vulcan, what a noise!

Never seen so many people in one place, they reckon 20,000+ people attended which I could well believe.

We were on the beach in the thick of it. Great views and the kids happily built sandcastles while we watched the show.

I got there early and paid a quid for on street parking 200 yds from the front. So had time for a nice chippy lunch,and a wander amongst the shopping delights of Ayr
Handy for getting away quickly too.
Great show too,especially the Vulcan,shame the 2 lancs couldn't make it.

Shopping delights of Ayr - Is that some sort of Oxymoron

If you know the place, there was loads of cheap and free parking to be honest.

Official reports have varied between crowds between 15 and 30 thousand!

Superb day, shame about the BBMF and Canadian Lanc, but, they were here today. I had the 2 Lancs over my house at 10.20 this morning What a sight

Hope you enjoyed the show all that were there, I think this used to be a bi annual event, asking the ladies in the programme tent, they "hope" to make it annual, fingers crossed that all the arseing about, whichever way it goes does not spoil what will hopefully be a regular occurrence.

Vulvan due to take off any second now, I am off outside for a beer and a barbie!

Had a good day yesterday. Ayr beachfront is probably the perfect setting for arial displays.

The only dampner on the day was trying to leave the parking at the racecourse. So many people getting frustrated and trying to nudge themselves in. No marshals directing traffic either, it was chaos. Other than that a fantastic day which I thoroughly enjoyed and wouldn't hesitate to do again.

Was standing just in front of yourself,amazing sounds of the vulcan and a fantastic sight with the lancasters over Troon as well today the stunt plane at the end was fantastic.As was all the other dispalys enjoyed the Catalina as well.Hope it becomes an annual event

Watched it from near my late parent's house at Seafield, picnic on the grass. Edge of the display box so lots of turns, perfect.
Most of the aircraft, including the Vulcan (wow, even though I've seen it at Leuchars) commenced their displays from the Heads of Ayr direction and flew right over us, also the sun's position showed up the planes' colours really well.
