Can anyone recommend a good RR near Edinburgh for my cerbera?

There's a garage with 1 just beside my office in Dalgety Bay in Fife. It seems to be popular with car clubs. They do 2wd and 4wd apparently.

Hi Mike

Being a fellow cerbera owner I can recomend Chris at Dyna tune, a little out the way for you but worth it because he has the only hub dynos in Scotland, much better than any RR set up.

He just mapped my daily driver last week and ran my classic mini on his dyno for the lowest power car to run on them,

He is based in east Kilbride.

there is a rr at Abbeyhill called car tuning clinic but I hear its very old and the they have varied results, perhaps ok if you just want a bhp run, me I would head to star.

Not strictly true there Scotty. LSC on the south side of Edinburgh have a hub dyno and are very good, located at Whitecraig between Dalkieth and Musselburgh

LSC has recently sold the their hub dyno as it was not getting the expected usage. It's currently in storage awaiting the new owner picking it up last I heard.

performance HQ or HQ garage, dependant on what they're calling themselves now are soon to be releasing their own hub dyno, uses the same technology as rolling roads, eddie current brakes rather than the Rototest that LSC had and the Dynapack which use hydraulics. there's a whole argument in itself as to which is better.

At the end of the day for the likes of V8's and any high torque car the hub dyno can get a more accurate reading unless your using full slicks with tyre softener on a rolling road.
