Hand Car Wash / Valet Edinburgh
Discussion
I'm now avoiding these guys too. If you have painted plastic, the chemicals they use for the wheels cleaner can get sprayed onto the plastics and take the shine right out. Too harsh. I just make do with my own sponge & car shampoo. Plus keeps the drive clear of green moss/algae build up too! :-)

Looking for recommendations for one of these side of the road in an old petrol station type car washes?
Plenty in Glasgow but appear to be very few in Edinburgh.
Suggestions welcome.
Hi,although it's not really a side of the road car wash Handy Andys at Dobbies garden centre Lasswade just off the by pass, depending on where yo stay of course it might be out of your way,but worth a try if you are passing.Plenty in Glasgow but appear to be very few in Edinburgh.
Suggestions welcome.
It's only £6.00 standard car, they use grit guards so no scratching and they are thorough they also dry it.

Give Alan at clean Start a call, he will come to you for not a lot of money.

You can't be serious, £30 for an hours work on your car at your door to suit your timing is expensive? This is a guy going out of his way to make a living in the current economic climate.
Takes him X amount of time to drive to you,
Fuel Cost
Maintenance of Van
Consumables for the services provided
Business / public liability insurance
Get any other professional service to come to your house and you won't get any change out of £100 just to get them there.
At the end of the day you make your choice and pay your money.
just my 2 cents worth

To pick you up on your other point though, private tuition is just one example of a professional service which can take place in your own home for far far less than £100 per hour.
These chaps have done a great job on my cars in the past http://www.mobilevehiclevaleting.co.uk/mobile.htm
I had Simon to clay bar my old merc and it came back looking stunning.

I've only had bad experiences with these people. The one on Ferry road and also Corstorphine road. Manky sponges and ripping paint of the alloys and not letting me know... Not fussed about it coming off but I had asked not to touch the wheels and to only use the lance no sponges, had to open the window and tell the guy 3 times :S
