Discussion
focrs, whats your position with them? what are they like to work for?
I have got a few queries related to the position but i would need to speak to someone in the position.
craig i've pm'd you.
I was planning on flying to edinburgh then getting a hire car to drive up to dundee. is this the best option or is it best to fly to aberdeen. Bearing in mind I would have to drive 2-3 hours to london to get a flight to aberdeen.
thanks

Travelling to Montrose I would fly to Edinburgh, particularly if it makes it easier at the departure end.
From Aberdeen airport you have to travel right across Aberdeen to go south, getting clear of Aberdeen could be the biggest part of the journey depending on time/traffic.
From Edinburgh, IMO it is easier, though at peak times just getting to the Forth bridge can take a while.
I also find flights to/from Edinburgh tend to be cheaper than Aberdeen.
Good luck with the job.
Edited to add- As someone else said Montrose is not Dundee, it is approx 30 miles north of Dundee, could make a difference between being on time and being late for an interview.

Fly to Edinburgh. I travel between Aberdeen / Edinburgh / London every week and Edinburgh is the better option.
If your flying from Heathrow use Virgin Little Red from T2. A lot cheaper and a far more reliable service.
BA's idea of departure times are a joke, especially in winter months.

Yes. Allow a good 45 mins from Dundee to Montrose, as you have to go thru Arbroath, then it's single carriageway to Montrose, and NOV will undoubtedly be at the far end of Montrose so you'll have to go through the town too...rossybee said:

It is.Consider taking the A90 to Brechin then A935 to Montrose, it brings you into Montrose right beside NOV so you would miss driving through Arbroath and Montrose, though you do have to go through Brechin, it is around 6 miles further but better roads.
I am a service engineer for them. The interveiw will be at our office in aberdeen the training college is in Montrose where you would be for the first few months. Or where ever the training courses are that you go on depends if you are electrical or mechanical.
Nov are the leading drilling equipment supplier in the world a very big company. One thing I would say is be prepared to travel getting to dundee is the easy part.
Pm me any questions I would of sent my number but on a job in North sea just now.
