Does anybody have any recommendations for a good landscaper/gardener in or around Aberdeen who can supply and turf our back garden. We have bought a new house which will be ready the beginning of April and the back garden will need turfed. Typical square back garden, not particularly big - 130m/2.

Hi Jamie,

Do it yourself! smile Really easy, just time consuming, especially if the builders don't leave it fairly leval, rocks everywhere etc.

Speak to Don Valley, they're just out the back of Kintore. They will deliver and make be able to give you a name. Just don't buy the stuff that's been sitting at B&Q for days, it'll be dead by the time you lay it.

I think that's probably the route I'm going to go down. I'm led to believe that preparation is key, so will get reading up. I'll give Don Valley a shout, cheers.

As most of the work is in the prep have you thought of seeding it? much, much cheaper.

I have thought about seeding it but I would like to have a useable back garden pretty quick after we move in so I thought Turf would be the best option. It looks like I can buy the turf for £300ish which isn't too bad. Obviously it's just going to be a time consuming job but I don't mind.
