I'm looking for a structural engineer in Aberdeen for domestic work.

We have some architects plans drawn up, but need a local structural engineer to come and have a look. Everyone we've contacted are either too busy or don't call back.

We need one too, upstairs dormers and new, different, staircase. Forfar, so Aberdeen or Dundee area.

Wright Associates or the ubiquitous Fairhursts?

Watch out for Fairhursts - expensive, had a SE swing in past the house on his way home to check something and thought it was a courtesy call, then a few days later got hit with an invoice from them !!

Have had work done by Cameron and ross, fairhursts and wrights. In future I'd go to C&R first and Wrights last, I was actually shocked at how much info I needed to go back to them to have clarified.

I've seen poor drawings put out by all the firms mentioned. Just depends on the engineer/technician.
