Hi,

I need a rolling road that is not the "dyno" type so we don't need to take wheels off. I don't know the name of the other sort that requires your cars wheels to move on a set of actual rollers.

The other thing is, it needs to be in or near Edinburgh? We can travel (within reason) but the closer to Edinburgh the better.

Thanks in advance.

Just type it in goggle there are quite a few about. It depends largely where you are based.

I used Surrey Rolling road who I believe are still going. That was just for a check of bhp I've also used a tuner SE M25 can't recall their name. We built a few maps for the ECU.

Fortunately I lived in Woking at the time.

I can't imagine putting my EV on one now.

I havent been but when I enquired with the garage that does my MOTs and Servicing in Danderhall they recomended SOS motorsport in Falkirk.
I was going to get in touch with them about a power run this winter as Im convinced my focus makes more than its specced 275bhp.

There's also Star Performance in Glenrothes, not been to see them for a few years but attended a few rolling road days. They still have the Dyno listed as a service and aren't a million miles from Edinburgh.

Out of interest, why do you need a rolling road dyno? Hub dyno’s are usually far better as you aren’t having to deal with traction slip. Think they’re only an issue if you have centre lock or ‘knock off’ wheel types.

What you're specifically looking for is called a 'chassis dyno'.

Sitech’s on the North side of Dunfermline - I used his chassis dyno a few weeks ago - no complaints.

Hey, firstly massive thanks for all the replies. Will look into them all.

and Marc p, your question (why I need a 'chassis dyno' type) I need to record the sounds of a bunch of engines, and some of the guys who are offering their nice cars don't want their wheels taking off! So we have to find that sort of rolling road.
I would love to go into more detail about the project itself cos it is really exciting but my contracts won't let me until it is released, but I'll be able to share details about it when we announce publicly.
