Held in the roadworks queue for 20 mins yesterday not moving, Ok I get they need to sort the roads but why 30 mph and only one lane when nothing is being done in lane 2 ?
Thanks a lot (not) to the tt in the range rover blasting along the hard shoulder covering all the stopped vehicles with all the crap from the hard shoulder. If you need to do this then slow down.
Sorry rant over....

They are a pain in the arse. Heading north, Waze took me off the M74 onto the old M74 and back on at Lesmahago. It saved a good bit of time.

Interesting

I came up from stafford yesterday morning diverted off M6 due to lorry fire J22-23 then further up for no obvious reason satnav sent me of M6 further up and diverted at J36 through kendal and back on at J39 cannot find any obvious reason why I was diverted

Anyone on here doing same route yesterday morning?

Yup, if south bound off at the junction at the top end of Larkhall, through Blackwood, by Lesmahagow, and re-join at the junction where you'd go left to Lanark and you can drive past the whole lot. Could even go the b7078 from there to Abington before re-joining, it's a good example of a road that's almost always totally empty.

Was two lanes but still 30 mph going northbound yesterday btw.

It's utterly ridiculous.

That's junction 8, the traffic doesn't back up as far as J9 so get off there and save another 10 mins.

Agree about the road to Abington, the site many years ago of my UK V max 'triumph'.
