Blatant copy from another forum if anyone's is interested, as there a few aviation buffs about.......

This Friday, Leuchars based 56 (Reserve) Squadron disbands and its duties taken over by 43(Fighter) Squadron. Nine F3 Tornados will take off from the base at 10am to partake in a "farewell tour" of the area. Plans are to fly in diamond formation.
Timings as follows;

10:15 - Forth bridges, Leith Docks & Britannia (10:17) then skirting round Edinburgh, passing Redford Barracks (10:25) and Edinburgh Airport.
They will fly over the bridges again (10:26) on their way to Scone airport
(10:30) before turning back to fly down the Tay to Dundee (10:35).
They then head north over Condor (10:37), Aberdeen (10:40) and on to RAF Lossiemouth (10:45) and RAF Kinloss (10:47).
They then return to Leuchars for a final fly past at 11am.

Some sight hopefully!

Amazing how much ground these guys can cover in such a short time... doesn't look like they'll be crusing at that rate.. wish I was around to see it.

That will be me on a smoke break then

If their return to Leuchars is a blast down the coast
Aberdeen can expect them 5 Mins after their first pass

Hopefully, I'll remember!!

Office looks out towards the airport, and also got a window looking out towards the A96. Knowing my luck, they'll fly past on the other side.........

Can anyone find an 'official' article or reference related to this?

I had a look on the base website but couldn't see anything obvious.

Difference is between Universal Time and British Summer Time. So both time are correct.

Fantastic post - thanks. I'll be sure to pass it onto my son's school- provided the weather isn't too miserable on Friday morning, they may choose to take the nursery kids out to watch. Either way, I shall be watching from my lounge window. Thanks again.

And I thought I was doing good managing Cambridge to Aberdeen in 3hrs 5mins in my wee Cessna yesterday evening ! Still a darn sight quicker than the car though !

Oh well, I'm off tomorrow and they should go right over the top of my house ! Cool !
