Aberdeen parking permits

I was parked in Morrisions just off the bottom of King Street yesterday the whole park park was iced over so I parked in the Disabled as all I neeeded was sponge, 2 minutes! I own a RWD BMW Coupe, obvious why I paked there now.

Got back with sponge 3.5 mins later...a parking ticket...GAY!!!!

So I argued my case thay had none of it...not understanding pparking a RWD on sheet is is ridiulous. So I drifted out of the car park at 5500RPM in 1st gear to make a lot of noise and annoy them.

Thats my view of Aberdeen parking...RIDICULOUS

Why am i not surprised? I'm glad i moved out into the 'shire! Aberdeen council are skint so the average people have to pick up the bill! My wife has a permit to allow her to pick up her 80yo gran, so she, sorry, i'll have to pay the £120!

I just love the way the article implies that doubling the cost of the parking permits is 'saving money' really seems like missing the big picture

Well it should be illegal. Having a disabled parent myself it pisses me off when non badge holders park in the bays for folk who need them. If you can't drive a RWD motor in bad weather conditions then perhaps a change of motor should be the next step.

It's always out in snow and ice...best time to get the RWD out!

Its just that Morrisons car park is downhill...and even a FWD car would struggle to pull away. But, with rear wheel drive being so light at the back I thought why bother attempting to get stuck! I parked less than 3.5 minutes in the bay. They are complete w**kers.

What parking wardens are more concerned about is getting commission rather than using their brains and gauge why the car is parked there. I don't agree with this fine and sue (American) culture we're living in these days! Its almost like quoting Dire Straights "Money for nothing"

In this case it's private land, so they can enforce anything they want. They could enforce pink car only spaces if they felt like it.

Disabled spaces are for disabled people with passes, you may be disabled but you didn't have a pass, so pay your fine and stop moaning. If it bothers you that much, leave the RWD car at home in those conditions.

How is anything going to sway the point in your favour? You got a ticket for parking somewhere you should not have been parking. Disabled bay's are, believe it or not for disabled people. Not sudents who are unable to drive in bad weather conditions. Perhaps you should change your studies to the highway code. But if that's to difficult for you ............
