Stupid wee clips
Discussion
On my Edelbrock Carb there are some very small retaining clips on a couple of rods, their correct name is hair spring cotter pins, they fit in grooves in rods 2 or 3 mil in diam. Does any body know where I can get a supply of them in UK. The slippery little critters (Description borrowed from the film Pretty Woman) keep flying off when I am trying to fit them, never to be seen again!

Nah I can get them with a rebuild kit from Roadcraft or Real Steel, but I dont want to buy a rebuild kit every time I need a couple of these clips. There must be somewhere I can get them in bulk. Thanks for your efforts though.

Might be worth giving my Dad a call at the Dalrymple garage in North Berwick. He has an edelbrock carb on his cobra. He may have some spare after he rebuilt his engine, or may know a supplier. Phone 01620 892070

Thanks all, for your help, I am playing with jets and rods just now to try and get the AFR right before I book the rolling road. Every time I open it up to get to the jets I have to remove 2 of these pins and invariably one pings off into the distance at some point. THe law of sod being of course that I will buy 50 or 100 of these and never lose another one!
