Just been over to Skye for the weekend, what a marvelous series of roads from Stonehaven! Was a fantastic blast.
Went to Banchory then over the Lecht to Granton on Spey then up the A9 to Inverness, along Loch Ness, then off to Kyle of Lochalsh and over the sea to Skye.
Fab route. 5 stars.
Although on the way back today the Loch Ness road was fairly busy, but then it was Easter Sunday and ALL the tourists were out in force it seemed (as were a few nice cars..).

yeah me and the missus were over during the week, really enjoyed it had dinner in portree then went to Applecross and up to Gairloch on the next day.
