Portpatrick Info anyone?

I'm off to Portpatrick a week on Mon for a weeks fishing & a piss up with a mate can anyone recommend some decent pubs & places to eat? Also as i'm hiring a Maserati for the week any must do driving roads/routes around there?

There is a nice place in Sandhead just over the peninsula. From memory it is the only pub/place to eat there. Have puib grub menu which is great and restraunt in back serving simialr food. Was there two years ago and was amazed at quality of food
Dalveen pass off the M74 going to Thronhill if coming form Glasgow is great.
On the main Stranraer/ Dunfries road there are cameras and lots of police cars

Roads are small with a lot of dirt from farmers. Thus there are no must do roads.

They are twisty and can be a bit fun on the way out to portpatrick from Stranraer but thats about it.

You need to go up to the west coast of loch lomand for good hooning or across to the borders.

That will take a bit of time though...

You staying in hotel or friends house? cant remember what you said?

You might like the food in Campbells along the shore front.

Also try out knockinam (spelling!!!?) lodge. It has a michillin star i believe.
