Stag night ideas
Discussion
The palace is now closed! If you are white water rafting in the aberfeldy area, have your night out in perth.
We get lots of stag nights in Aberfeldy and they are all quite disappointed with the lack of night-life.

I've been rafting in that are and felt it very much like a theme park ride. It was very impersonal.
We were treated like sheep, our group of 8 was part of a double decker full of participants (lots of stags etc) which went down the river in a convoy of rafts. Passing the photo points where we had to smile
I do a lot of white water activities and would suggest "Canyonning". that area is good for it and I know the naelimits guys use some of the same water we do. It is more of an indivdual challenge which sees you sliding down waterfalls & jumping off cliffs into pools whilst egged on by your mates. (Don't know how many of you there are but usually you will only be yourselves plus river guides and unlike the rafting will be more tailored to the abilities and daring of those in your group) Tis much more fun to do with mates as you watch each other and can have a laugh at the guys who get scared in the pub later. (being the first one is usually most nervewracking a great position to be reserved for the stag)

I can thoroughly recommend naelimits for rafting (and quad biking, and clay pigeon shooting)), I did that for my own stag do 3 yrs ago. Lots of good nightlife in Perth, we ended up in a huge club called Ice Factory if memory serves right.
As for Aviemore, took a short 3 day trip there with the missus a few years ago, bored out of our minds, nice scenery, just nothing much to do at night.

Recommend the Skiing-Doo for eats but you are limited for the night
life just a couple of pubs. We stayed in the McDonald Thistle (Is that right?)
and they were still talking to us in the morning when checking out even
though they had to move families during the night to another hotel due
to the high-jinks from our rooms....sorry.
Don't expect the kind of fun that was had in Blairgowrie though Reidy!!!
There's not a lot of pubs...Red Mac, Winkie, the one on the main street
and the hotel opposite. Knowing the crowd that's going reckon you could
get barred from entire town by about half nine!
