Good MOT center in/ around Glasgow?

Hi all,

can anyone recommend me a good honest MOT center in or around Glasgow?

Also, has anyone tried using the council run MOT center in Glasgow? Thinking of going there for peace of mind as they don't have as much incentive to fail your car (unless they just want to charge you a re-test fee that is ).

My dad and i have used Whiteinch MOT Centre for years (they'r eon South St by the river clyde), they are only an MOT centre, i.e. they don't do repairs so are unlikely to pick on something borderline just to get some extra work, but at the same time are thorough and won't pass your car if something needs done.

Last time I was there they only had two bays and were very busy so maybe worth calling to book.

Central Garage in Johnstone - few miles from Glasgow but the owner Sandy is a good guy and the prices are as good as you'll get tbh.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, just came back from Whiteinch MOT Centre with a shiny new MOT certificate and the guys at the test centre seemed to do a fair job.
