Stereo code for Peugeot 306

A long shot but here goes...

I've a 1998 Peugeot 306 with a factory Clarion stereo. It asked me for the 4 digit security code yesterday and, while trying to enter it on the move, I pressed the wrong sequence of numbers. Now it won't seem to let me enter the code (the screen just has 4 dashes across it). Any ideas?

Could try disconecting the battery as this will remove all power from the stereo which should wipe the memory. Connect the power back up and it should just ask for the code as normal.

Do you not leave it switched on for a certain length of time then it allows you to reset the code? Its years since i had my one!

Sometimes there's a delay after a wrong code,which progressively gets longer the more wrong codes entered .
